The portrait of an instructor-trainer "GUNDO"dog training Academy of Brașov, now well consolidated and in full expansion, looks back to tell its history based, as natural, on a German shepherd dog breed, the female named DONNA. They manage to obtain a land in Poiana Brașov belonging to some farmers, but after the unpleasant incidents had with the land owners, resulting in the tragic death of a giant Schnauzer female, owned by Mr. Boga Tiberiu, who remained as guard in Poiana Brașov, the training team gives up to this land, following to conduct their activity in Brașov. At the initiative and under the leadership of Liviu Orghidan, along with the withdrawal from activity of Mr. Boga Tiberiu in 1987, the team will be transformed in the TRAINING CLUBwhich will activate for 3 years in accordance with the status of A.Ch.R . in Brasov. During this period, DONNAparticipates in several training contests in the country, along with her master. Because of DONNA's intelligence and docility, her protector Liviu Orghidan is noticed by Mr. Torino Bocaniciu (the president of the National Club of Utilitarian Dogs) and Willi Land (work arbiter). At the improvement who took place in the frame of C.N.C.U. ( The National Club of Utilitarian Dogs ) , where Liviu Orghidan participates, he obtains on 9 mai 1991 after examinations the certificate of instructor trainer. In the same year, Liviu Orghidan founded the Excelsior training club , with legal personality and non- profit scope, whose president he is, and he also holds in parallel the function of vice-president of A.Ch.R . in Brasov.. After the reproaches made by a particular person in the A.Ch.R. Brasov with reference to its function held in parallel with the function of president of the training club, he is forced to resign from the association. This incident does not affect Liviu Orghidan's passion for dogs; on the contrary, in 1993 1993 he follows for a period of a month, on his own account, the courses of a training school in Denmark. In 1994 , he attends for a period of one month the courses of a training school in Turkey , training school licensed by the K9 Training Academy in U.S. A. . Returned in his country, on 01.01.1994 he will transform the Excelsior Training Club in SC BARRY S.R.L. (the name "Barry"was chosen as a gratitude for the Saint-Bernard who saved 42 lives during its activity ). In 2004, he transforms "the Barry Training School" in the "GUNDO" Training Academy in gratitude for the German Shepherd that he owns, unique in Romania, inscribed in the book of TVRecords, and having a vocabulary of 68 commands in German language. In 2005, after a break of 14 years , the CDC (Dog Training Club ,former CNCU - the National Club of Utilitarian Dogs) is reestablished in Romania, where Mr. Liviu Orghidan is invited as lecturer in dog training in the camp from Macea in the county of Arad, where his certificate of dog training instructor obtained in 1991 is reconfirmed. In 2006, the GUNDO Training Academy becomes a member of the Canine Educational Center in Craiova, which is the first club in Romania in the foundation of "RESCUE DOGS",specialty, having Mr. Liviu Ionescu as president with an experience of 12 years in the rescue, specialty, the GUNDO Training Academy becoming after one year of activity, member of IRO (Dogs World Rescue) and implicitly, member of FCI (International Kennel Federation). In May 2006, the GUNDO Dog Training Academy is the main organizer of the first rescue camp of the CDC (Dog Training Club) at the end of which, the first dogs in rescue specialization graduated, with Mr. Liviu Orghidan as director of the camp.. In July 2006, Mr. Liviu Orghidan attends an IPO specialized training (international work rules - security and defense), with judge Mauro Serafini as main coordinator and breeder of German Shepherd dogs in Italy, training conducted by CDC (Dog Training Club). In August 2007, as a member of the Canine Educational Center in Craiova, Mr Liviu Orghidan is organizing a RESCUE WORKSHOP in Predeal, having as guests four NGO's (non governmental organizations), representing the City Hall of Brasov and Predeal, representatives of MIRA (Ministry of Administration and Interior) in Bucharest, for the training of rescue dogs and people, in order to meet EU standards. In October 2007, Mr. Liviu Orghidan as a representative of the Canine Educational Center of Craiova organizes the National Rescue Championship in Bran, county of Brașov, which was attended by seven teams from the country, representatives of ISU (Romanian General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations ) Craiova, representatives of SMURD (Emergency Mobile Service for Resuscitation and Extrication) in Petroșani and Târgu Mureș, two separate teams, championship developed after IRO's mission regulation.. In April 2008, Mr. Liviu Orghidan is co-opted in the Canine Educational Center in Craiova, in the organizing committee of the most important canine rescue event from Eastern Europe - Eastern Europe Cup (International IRO Test) in saving, from 19 - 20 April 2008 in Craiova In October 2008, due to the old age, GUNDO dies at the age of 13 years and seven months. In October 2008, as representative of the Canine Educational Center Craiova, Mr Liviu Orghidan organizes in Brasov the International Rescue Contest, being invited to arbitrate the Austrian F.C.A referee. Because of the breed she is part of, DONNAhas received training, along with her owner, in the training team of
A.Ch.R.
(Romanian Kennel Club) in Brașov, at that time led by Mr. Boga Tiberiu. Along with DONNA,
begin Liviu Orghidan`s first steps towards the profession of instructor trainer..
